Aspect Ratios: 4:3,16:9-A ratio aspect is the ratio between the width and height of a film image. The number denoting width comes first, and the height proportion of the aspect is always written as 1. These days conventional wisdom says that a new home theatre should have 16:9 projector and a 16:9 screen. Almost all of the latest plasma and LCD flat screen TVs are in 16:9 formats, and most video projectors intended for home theater as well. But just because 16:9 has been the standard rate, doesn’t mean you couldn’t consider going for a large screen 4:3.
